Section 5(a)1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: On or about 6/25/03 an aerial lift number USDOT 679301 was not provided with rails around the its upper periphery as required by American National Standards Institute number A92.2- 1969, section 4.5. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement to correct this hazard is to ensure that the rails are provided around the periphery of the equipment. PLEASE NOTE: CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
