Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)On or about 09/03/03 at 879 Davis Drive, Conyers, GA: Employees performing warehouse work were exposed to struck by hazards, while operating forklifts without wearing installed seatbelts. The employer failed to ensure seatbelts were installed and utilized by his workers. Feasible and acceptable abatement methods include but are not limited to the following: a) One feasible abatement method is for the company to install seatbelts in their Toyota and Datsun forklifts. Both manufacturers have seatbelt installation kits available to customers. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION IS REQUIREDATION
