Condition:An employee stood on a bundle of 15 wood trusses stored upright
without bracing or banding
in place, and with individual trusses secured together by three 2 by 4
boards nailed to each
trusses.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is to brace truss bundles
stored upright, remove banding from bundles after truss bundles are in a
stable horizontal position in accordance with
the Truss Plate Institute HIB-91 Summary Sheet.  Prohibit employees from
climbing on walking on truss bundles.
Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs,
training certification, etc.) is
required for this item.
