Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:04/09/03 Condition:Employees were not trained in safe work methods around mobile trash collecting and compacting equipment. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to develop and implement a comprehensive safety training program using manufacture's recommendations and American National Standard, ANSI Z245.1-1992, Mobile Refuse Collection and Compaction Equipment-Safety Requirements, Section 6. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
