North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a)Jones Cove Road, 1/2 mile East of Lowe's, Waynesville, NC -- employees were working on an approximately 30 foot high billboard sign without the use of fall protection. NOTE:Among other method, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to ensure all employees utilize fall protection when needed.
