Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards and/or the hazard of dropped loads: (a)Pro Construction Supply Inc., at 1833 E. Harmony Rd., Fort Collins, CO 80528: The Hyster forklift was used to lift employees approximately 20 feet to change light bulbs in the ceiling light fixtures. This condition exposed the employees to a fall of approximately 20 feet. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to: (a)Provide a ladder of sufficient height to reach the light bulbs. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Sample Abatement-Certification Letter").-Certification
