Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards and crushing injuries: Worksite: The employee was working from a Caterpillar 950 front loader bucket approximately 12 feet high when he was pined between the bucket and the metal sign he was working on and then fell 12 feet to the ground. One feasible and acceptable method of abatement is to conduct the work from a ladder or an aerial lift.
