Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the building B 18 under construction, the employees were installing a
bracket scaffold under
the panel formwork.  The panel formwork of 24 feets and 9 inches wide and
9 feets and 3 inches
of height, fell over the employees.  The employer ordered his employees
that they have to work
in this area where the formwork was not completly installed.  The formwork
brigade
only
installed one panel of the formwork when it fell.
Hazard: Striking employees with formwork parts.
Among other correction methods, some feasible and acceptable abatements
methods to correct
this hazard is moved the employees when working under formworks and
reinforce the formwork.
En el edificio B 18 en construccion los empleados estaban instalando
andamios debajo de donde
estaba un panel de un molde.  El panel del molde de 24 pies y 9 pulgadas
de ancho y 9 pies y
3 pulgadas de alto, cayo sobre los empleados.  El patrono ordeno que los
empleados trabajaran
en esta area cuando el molde aun no estaba completamente instalado.  La
brigada de instalacion
de moldes solo habia instalado un panel del molde cuando este se cayo.
Riesgo: Golpear empleados con partes de los moldes.
Entre otros metodos de correccion, algunos metodos factibles y aceptables
para
corregir este
riesgo es mover los empleados cuando esten trabajando bajo los moldes y
reforzar los moldes.r
