Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to impalement hazards: a)Construction site at 3200 Airport Ave, Mobile, Al: Employees were exposed to impalement hazards as they walk / work around 1/2 inch diameter bolts protruding from the concrete varying in height form 2 1/4 inches to 4 inches above the surface. Among other methods of abatement is to install caps on the exposed ends.
