Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being lifted by a forklift while standing on a pallet: a)First Floor: An employee who was fixing a hoist trolley motor was lifted on a wooden pallet on the forks of a Yale industrial truck and was not protected from the hazard of falling to the floor below, on or about 07/27/2004. ABATEMENT NOTE: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to provide a safety platform used in accordance with ANSI B56.1- 1975, Part II, Section 513.ion
