Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being struck by an air hose and coupling: a)Crosswalk and compressor area: The pneumatic hammer air hose couplings did not have coupling hold tight wires or safety clips, on or about 9/9/2004. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to: 1:Install and ensure that lock pins or hold tight wires are placed on the hose coupling. THE CONCRETE MASTERS INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD SECTION 5(a)(1) AIR HOSE FITTINGS WITHOUT COUPLING HOLD TIGHT WIRE OR LOCKING PIN WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 306554577, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1, ISSUED ON 09/11/2003, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT MARTIN LUTHER KING SCHOOL, PASSAIC NJ.SAIC
