Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a) Printing Press Area, East End - Emergency stop button was not located at the portable operator control station on the Kidder Stacy 660 printing press, serial number 957-48-710. (b) Printing Press Area, East End - Emergency stop button was not located at the control station at the rewind area on the Kidder Stacy 660 printing press, serial number 957-48-710. (c) Printing Press Area, West End - Emergency stop button was not located at the control station at the rewind area on the Kidder Stacy 660 printing press, serial number 958-48-710. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to include, but not limited to the following: (1) Conform to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 79, section 13.2. Emergency Stop Devices. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
