40.1-51.1-A, Code of Virginia: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees safety employment and a place of employment which is free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees in that supporting structures (including trolleys, monorail, crane if any) of electric hoists had not had their load limit determined and marked, so that they were at least equal to the limit of the hoist supported. Three instances: 1 & 2. In the Wash Room, two electric hoists used for lifting product into wash vats did not have the load limit determined and posted on the supporting members of the hoists. 3. In the Maintenance Shop, an electric hoist was supported from the ceiling, but the supporting structure's load limit had not been determined and posted.ned
