Section 5(a)(1) of Public Law 91-596, the Occupational Safety and Health
Act of 1970:  The
employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were
free from
recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious
physical harm to
employees, in that employees were exposed to hazards of being crushed
between two flatbed
vehicles used to load sweet potatoes being harvested by employees located
at Cole Lake and
Catfish Rd.,Belzoni, MS.
(a)R & G Harvesting Inc.- Employee backing a flatbed truck with obstructed
vision
was not assisted by a signaler.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement methods to
correct this hazard
includes but not limited to:
1. Operate Vehicles and Farm Equipment in accordance with Chapter 296-307
WAC,
Part E, (Section WAC 296-307-07003, How must motor vehicles be operated)
