Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a struck by hazard on March 21, 2005, on Cato Road, where three trucks and trailers loaded with logging equipment were parked southbound in the northbound lane of the road which had no warning signs or flaggers to safely move traffic through the area. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to abate this hazard is to install signs, warning devices, and flaggers when traffic must be moved through a work area as specified in Part VI of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and highways, (Millennium Edition).
