Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
a.  At the construction site, the employee operated a truck crane, model
American 5520
capacity 65 tons. The crane was moving wood panels and the load's hook did
not have
the safety latch which maintain and prevent the load from fall.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this
hazards is to install the safety latch on the hook according with the
ASME/ANSI B30.10-
1987 pages 5-14.
a.  En el lugar de construccion, el empleado operaba una grua, modelo
American 5520
capacidad 65 toneladas. La grua estaba moviendo unos moldes en madera y el
gancho
de carga no tenia el cierre de seguridad, cual mantiene y previene la
carga de caerse.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo de correccion factible y aceptable de
corregir este riesgo
es instalar el cierre de seguridad en el gancho de acuerdo con el ASME/
ANSI B.30.10-
1987 pages 5-14.
