Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive injuries due to fall from working surface at 6 feet high approximately when employee trying to kill pigs. The employee was working in a "stunning area", south side. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is use the appropiated equipment as "Electric Hog Stunner" or personal fall arrest system. a. Recibir lesiones debido a caida de superficie de trabajo a 6 pies alto aproximadamente cuando empleado trata de matar los cerdos. El empleado se encontraba trabajando en el "stunning area", lado sur. Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable y posible de corregir este riesgo es usar el equipo apropiado como Electric Hog Stunner"o un sistema personal de detencion de caida.
