Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive serious injuries in hand at pinch point due to deactivation of the limit switch of the guard in the following machine trademark MRP: 1- serial # 27704109, 2- serial # 27704110, 3- serial # 27704111, 4- serial # 27704112, 5- serial # 27704108. The pinch point were approximately 40 inches high from the floor. The machines were located at the establishment, production area, south side. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to maintain the limit switch functioning all the time. a. Recibir lesiones serias en mano en punto de pinchada dado a deactivacion del "limit switch" de las guardas de las siguientes maquinas marca MRP: 1- serie # 27704109, 2- serie # 27704110, 3- serie # 27704111, 4- serie # 27704112, 5- serie # 27704108. El punto de pinchada estaba a 40 pulgs. alto del piso aproximadamente. Las maquinas estaban localizadas en elestablecimiento, area de produccion, lado sur. Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable y posible de corregir este riesgo es mantener los "limit switch" funcionando en todo momento.
