Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Cause serious injuries due to the lack of safety reflective vests for employee use and road signs.Fifteen employees were working in both sides of Las Americas Avenue, between Hostos and Munoz Rivera Avenues, exposed to vehicular traffic. Among others methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to provide the employees with reflective vest and road signs to reduce car velocity while working. a. Recibir lesiones serias debido a la falta de rotulacion y chalecos reflectivos para el uso en las areas de trafico vehicular. Quince empleados trabajaban en ambos lados de la Avenida Las Americas, expuestos al trafico. Entre otros metodos, uno aceptable y factible para corregir este riesgo es proveerle a los empleados chalecos reflectivos y rotulacion de la calles para reducir la velocidad de los automoviles mientras se trabaja.
