North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a)kitchen -- a Bakelee vertical mixer was missing a bowl guard to cover the mixing bowl while the agitator was in motion. NOTE:Among other methods of abatement one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to install a bowl guard over the bowl when the agitator is in motion. OR IN THE ALTERNATIVE: 29 CFR 1910.263(e)(1)(viii): Horizontal dough mixer(s) were not equipped with an enclosure over the bowl while the agitator was in motion.r
