Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)Shop Area-The Grob Inc vertical bandsaw type NS18/serial 10158 and the Franz Haberle cold saw Type HL4 model 92180783, were not equipped with magnetic restarters or similar devices, as prescribed by American National Standards Institute (ANSI) B11.10-1990, Section 5.2.3.4, that in the event of an interruption in the electrical supply such a device would prevent the saw from restarting automatically when power is restored. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).s
