Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment that was free of recognized hazards in that employees were exposed to lacerations and falls from an unsafe aerial lift. East side of building - Aerial lift guardrail had a broken weld. Among feasible abatement methods, the employer can comply with the American National Standard for Boom-Supported Elevating Work Platforms, ANSI A92.5-1992 and 1. Reweld the broken guardrail. 2. Provide an inspection before use to detect unsafe conditions. NO CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM.
