Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)Dumpster, South end - Employee was exposed to an approximate 8' 6" fall to the ground while standing in the bucket of a John Deere skid steer loader, on or about 11/26/03. "ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD, AMONG OTHERS, TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS: 1.Train employees to use their equipment in accordance with the operator's manual and not allow them to use the bucket attachment as a work platform." NOTE: BECAUSE ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED IN THE CASE FILE, THE EMPLOYER NEED NOT SUBMIT CERTIFICATION OR DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION AS NORMALLY REQUIRED AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.
