Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a super grid collapse. a) Atlantic City Convention Center On The Board Walk; Stage Area: Employees of various employers were exposed to a truss structure collapse, on or about 8/9/03. Among other methods, one feasible way to abate this is hazard is to follow Gieger Engineers, Grid Use and Rigging Loads Final Report 3 March 2003 and to follow the Entertainment Services and Technology Association, American National Standard E1.2 - 2000 Entertainment Technology Design, Manufacture and Use of Aluminum Trusses and Towers for testing, use, and maintenance.
