Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a/ Brakely Park Ctr. Lopatcong - Kitchen: Walk-in refrigerator door was not provided with a locking device which allowed employees to open the door from the inside. Observed 11/3/04. One feasible and acceptable method to abate this condition is to provide a locking device that will allow the door of the refrigerator to be opened from the inside of the refrigerator. Reference: Underwriters Standard UL 471 National Sanitation Foundation Standard 7 (NSF/ANSI 7-2001, ANSI/ASHRAE 117-1992)
