Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards: a.On or about December 1, 2004, employees were allowed to ride in the bucket of a Volvo front end loader, exposing themselves to crushing hazards. Among other methods, one feasible means of abatement would be to ensure that no employee rides in the bucket of the front end loader. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED.TION
