Nevada Revised Statute 618.375(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: The employer failed to ensure that propane tanks were stored in a location that was free of possible flames/sparks in the following location: (1) Smoking breakroom for the maintenance area next to the maintenance offices. Reference: NFPA 58/Compressed Gas Association P-1, Material Safety Data Sheet One feasible and acceptable abatement method, among others, is to move the tanks to an area that is free of smoking, sparks or flames.
