Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to Fall. a) At the site, two employees were allowed to work from the mid rail of the lift approximately 12 feet above ground level. One feasible method of abatement, among others, would be to comply with the manufacturer's instructions and the ANSI/SIA Standard A92.6-1999 section 7.10(9) Which reads Personnel shall maintain a firm footing on the platform floor while working thereon. Climbing by occupants on the midrail or toprail of the aerial lift platform is prohibited. No Abatement Certification or Abatement Documentation required.tion
