North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to tip over of a crane: a)site-a Link-Belt truck mounted lattice boom crane used to lift material in the building of a bridge, was resting on outriggers which were resting on 2"x6" planks, which were distorted and bending under the weight of the crane.(ref: para 5-3.2.3 (i) USAS B30.5-1968)
