Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer does not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that are causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees are exposed to internal injuries, fractures, or death from possible collapse of roof, walls, building or structures: a) Third floor old rag room - The roofing system and associated framing members are in danger of collapse. b) Third floor old rag room east interior wall - The interior brick walls in the receiving dock area are unstable in that it had a hole in it. c) Third floor old rag room south interior wall - The wall in the interior receiving dock wall on the aisle are bowed out and unstable. d)Third floor receiving dock outer wall - The exterior brick wall is broken and unstable. e) Third floor receiving area, storage room north and east exterior wall - The brick cornice and wall on the front of the building third floor had been hit and pushed out making it unstable. f) The end of the loading dock structure old coal unloading area has holes in the floor, walls and roof and is in danger of collapse. ABATEMENT NOTE: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to have a structural engineer evaluate all structures and replace or reinforce defective roofs, building structures, and walls and to ensure that employees are not exposed to the hazards of potentially collapsing roofs, walls, buildings or structures.

ABATEMENT NOTE: One feasible and acceptable abatement method would be to fix the brakes to make them operational and to ensure that employees do not operate motorized vehicles and equipment without properly functioning brakes.ning
