Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to an explosive atmosphere: (a) Facility, Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA: On or about June 3, 2004, gas readings were measured at the stacked pizza oven at 8methane gas, within the explosive range of 5-15 Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means to abate this hazard is to follow established guidelines developed by the American Gas Association.
