North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of an aircraft falling due to being improperly supported: a)throughout the maintenance hanger, employees placed low wing support jacks on top of wooden tables in place of high wing support jacks to stabilize high wing aircraft, exposing employees to a struck by unstable object hazard. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to use a jack that can extend from the ground to the lift point located on the wing (jack designed for use with High Wing aircraft). Or in the alternative: 29 CFR 1910.242(a): Hand and portable powered tools or equipment were not kept in safe condition:
