Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a):  The employer did not
furnish employment
and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that
were causing or likely
to cause death or serious physical harm to employees:
(a)Date of Violation:On or about 09/03/03
Condition:Employee operating a Ford 3000 Series Tractor was exposed to the
hazard
of being crushed by tractor roll over due to lack of Roll Over Protection
and was not trained in the recognition and avoidance of hazards associated
with the operation of the tractor.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is
to install Roll Over Protection System, and provide tractor operator(s)
with training regarding
the safe operation of the equipment using manuals from the manufacturer as
well as Appendix
A of the 1928 Standard, Occupational Safety and Health Standards for
Agriculture.
Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs,
training
certification, etc.) is required for this item.
