Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:09/11/03 Location:Building #2 Condition:Employees were exposed to the hazard of being crushed/struck by 32' trusses that were not properly hoisted with an approved spreader bar. Among others, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to hoist the trusses in accordance with the Truss Plate Institutes's recommendations per HIB-91. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
