exposed to crushing or struck-by hazards in the event of hoist failure:
The CM Value Star Electric Hoist used by employees to hoist loads did not
have:
1.Proper labeling or marking to identify the lifting capacity of the hoist
clearly
marked on the hoist.
2.A hook that included a  safety latch.
3.Proper inspections being completed on a frequent or periodic basis.
Among others feasible abatement includes but is not limited to:
1. Marking the lifting capacity of the hoist in accordance with American
Standard
of Mechanical Engineers Standard (ASME) B30.16-1-1-4(b)(1)
2.Installation of a safety latch on the hook in accordance with ASME
B30.16-1.2.9.
3.Establishment of an inspection program in accordance with ASME B30,
Chapter
16-2.
Certification, and documentation/evidence of abatement is required.
Certification of abatement is required by 29 CFR Part 1903 and is to be
submitted within ten (10)
calendar days after the abatement date.ment
