9/2/05 through approximately 9/28/05 in the Dryer House (AKA Drying and
Dewatering Facility) the employer operated the Dryer Bag House and Screener
Bag House with the installed fire/explosion suppression system (FIKE
System)
deactivated. The employer did not take adequate interim precautions to
address
all potential ignition sources including but not limited to developing a
program
to ensure that all of the installed static ground straps were intact and
developing
procedures to address the potential for temperature increases in bag houses
beyond the "normal" range.
No certification required.  Violation Abated.on
