Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a) Tool Room, West Wall - The Rollin vertical band saw was not equipped with a magnetic restarter or similar device as prescribed by the American National Standard for Metal Cutting Saws, ANSI B11.10-1990, Section 5.2.3.4, that in the event on a interruption in the electrical supply, would prevent the saw from restarting automatically when power is restored. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
