Section 201 of the Executive Order 12196 of 1980: The employer did not furnish t
o employees places and conditions of employment that were free from recognized h
azards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to em
ployees in that employees
were exposed to the hazards of being crushed by and striking against forklifts a
nd other surfaces: a.On the west side of building 386 near the south end of the
loading dock, there were no seat belts on the Hyster forklift, model number E30X
L, GSA number FR719. Employees that used the forklift to unload flatbed trucks w
ere exposed to the hazard of being crushed by or striking against the forklift a
nd other surfaces. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement me
thod to correct this hazard is to install seat belts on the lift as originally i
nstalled by the manufacturer.00Dy0 t
