Stat. 182.653 subd. 2: The employer did not furnish to each employee, conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards which caused or were likely to cause death or serious injury to employees: Home made chain slings using bolts for connecting and/or shortening of chain sling legs and hooks without a rated capacity, were in use in lieu of alloy steel chain slings that have an identification tag and meet the requirements for vertical lifts as specified in CFR 1910.184(e)(1)&(2).
