North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (Ref: American National Standard ANSI A10.14-1991, section 6.2.1.1.5(c), American National Standard for Construction and demolition Operations - Requirements for safety Belts, Harnesses, Lanyards and Lifelines for Construction and Demolition Use) a)work site - two employees wrapped their lanyards around existing three inch conduit, located on the flat roof near the hoisting area, using the conduit as a horizontal lifeline. The lanyards snap hooks were connected back on their integral lanyard.
