North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and
Health Act of North Carolina:  The employer
did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place
of employment free from recognized
hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical
harm to employees in that employees were
exposed to vehicles falling from lifts:
(Ref.  American National Standard (ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2000) para 4.3
a)facility, garage - the owner or employer did not document operator
training by completing the operator
training log.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is to
conduct training as per section 4.2 through 4.6 of the American National
Standards.

a)facility, garage - the owner or employer did not establish a periodic
inspection procedure in accordance
with the manufacturer in order to ensure reliability and allow the
continued safe operation of the lift.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is to
conduct a inspection procedure in accordance with the manufacturer and
section 5.1 through 5.6.6.5
of the American National Standards.er
