Section 5(a)1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:
The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a
place of employment
which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to
cause death or serious
physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to:
On or about 6/16/04 on the 9th floor, an employee using a Makita tile
blade to cut wood was
exposed to the hazard of sustaining deep lacerations.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is
to use another tool to cut wood.
PLEASE NOTE:  CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS
VIOLATION.
