Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to falls. (a) Job site - 6050 Mood Rd. - Columbus, Ga. - On or about 01/14/04 - Employees using Rough Terrain forklift with work platform that was not secured to the forks. Hazard of falls lower level. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatment method to correct this hazard is to securely fasten the platform to the forks of the lift. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREDATION
