Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the potential of the failure of an overhead, underhung) hoist: On or about May 21, 2004, the supporting structure for the field installed overhead hoist (underhung monorail) hoist had not been evaluated to determine if they would support the loads and forces imposed by the hoist lifting the rated load. One feasible and suitable means of abatement is to have a Professional Engineer evaluate the installation of the overhead hoist to make the determination that the supports will provide the require support in order to prevent a collapse of the hoist. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
