section of a hoisted load on an underhung crane:
a) Frame Shop Department - Employees worked around steel mobile home
frames which were
lifted using tip loaded grab hooks rigged to hoists on an underhung crane.
Among other methods, feasible and acceptable means of abatement are 1) to
use slings or other
approved devices that are properly in the saddle of the hook before
operation in accordance with
ANSI B30.11-1973, Monorail Systems and Underhung Cranes, Section 11-3.2.2
and 2) to center
the load in the base (bowl-saddle) of the hook to prevent point loading of
the hook in accordance
with ANSI B30.10-1975, Hooks, Section 10-1.5.c.75,
