SCRR 71-112A: Failed to furnish a place of employment which is free of recognized hazards which may cause death or serious physical harm to his employees and comply with this regulation and other occupational safety and health rules and regulations promulgated under Chapter 15 of Title 41, Code of Laws, State of South Carolina, 1976, as amended, as follows: A. Employer knew or should have known that employees on pump jack scaffold with dressed wood plank work platform in excess of 20 feet above ground level on north side of 1616 dwelling on or about February 10, 2004, were exposed to the hazard of falling to the ground during scaffold collapse due to the scaffold's 7 poles being spaced in excess of 7 feet apart. A feasible and useful method to correct this hazard, among other methods, is to follow the pump jack manufacturer's specifications and space the poles no more than 7 feet apart.
