SCRR 71-112A: Failed to furnish a place of employment which is free of recognized hazards which may cause death or serious physical harm to his employees and comply with this regulation and other occupational safety and health rules and regulations promulgated under Chapter 15 of Title 41, Code of Laws, State of South Carolina, 1976, as amended, as follows: A. Employer knew or should have known that employees are exposed to the hazard of being thrown from two Toyota forklifts, Company Numbers 11 and 14, and being struck by the forklift by operating the forklifts without wearing the provided seat belts in the warehouse. A feasible and useful method of correcting this hazard, among other methods, is to require the use of the provided seat belts on the forklifts. B. Employer knew or should have known that employees are exposed to the hazard of being thrown from the Yale forklift, Serial Number P313282, and being struck by the forklift by operating a forklift with no seat belts in the receiving area. A feasible and useful method of correcting this hazard, among other methods, is to install and enforce the use of a seat belt on the forklift. C. Employer knew or should have known that employees are exposed to the hazard of being thrown from the Caterpillar forklift, Serial Number 55L363, and being struck by the forklift with no seat belts in the mold storage area. A feasible and useful method of correcting t his hazard, among other methods, is to install and enforce the use of seat belts on the forklift.
