Carolina:  The employer did not furnish to each of his employees
conditions of employment and a
place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were
causing or likely to
cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were
exposed to:
a)the potential of being crushed and/or caught between the aboveground
hydraulic
lifts.  Employees operating the three Hydraulic Aboveground Automobile
lifts
were not provided with the operation manual and training that was required
to be
read before operating the lifts in the repair bay area.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this
hazard was to develop operator safety training from the manufacturers
operation manual
with documentation.
