Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a), Annotated Code of Maryland: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:04/23/04 Location:Lots 30-34 Condition:An employee was exposed to being struck by a collapsing wood structure as the exterior walls were not properly braced to prevent their collapse. Among others, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to follow the design and installation recommendations for wall bracing of the 2000 International Residential Code for One and Two- Family Dwellings. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
