Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At the following work areas, employees were exposed to airbone microorganisms above the contamination indicador level of 1,000 CFU/m3: English Classroom (S12409) - 1477.3 CFU/m3 of fungi and bacterias on air, 477.3 CFU/m3 above the contamination indicator level Third Grade Classroom (S12107) - 1890.2 CFU/m3 of fungi and bacterias on air, 890.2 CFU/m3 above the contamination indicator level The samplig date was 10-25-2004. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct is to: Remove out of the area contamined materials. Provide continous maintenance to keep the work areas as clean as posible. Hazard: Exposure to airbone microorganisims over the acceptable level. En las siguientes areas de trabajo, empleados estaban expuestos a microorganismos aerotransportados sobre el nivel indicador de contaminacion de 1,000 CFU/m3: Salon de Ingles (S12409) - 1477.3 CFU/m3 de hongos y bacterias en aire, 477.3 CFU/m3 sobre el nivel indicador de contaminacion Salon de Tercer Grado (12107) - 1890.2 CFU/m3 de hongos y bacterias en aire, 890.2 CFU/m3 sobre el nivel indicador de contaminacion Entre otros metodos, un metodo posible y aceptable para corregir es: Remover fuera del area materiales contaminados. Proveer mantenimiento continuo para conservar el area tan limpia como sea posible. Riesgo: Exposicion de microorganismos en el aire sobre el nivel aceptable.ismos
